Alex Rich’s follow-up EP to ‘Sometimes, Somewhere (which sold out in two weeks), ‘Where the Trees are Painted White’ is a backdrop to long-gone endless summer days, effortlessly moving from filigree guitar-based instrumentals, to electronic Eno-like lullabies. Layered with piano, subtle electronics, mandolin-style guitar work, electric guitar and bass, they are more dexterous and shimmering than previous, each track shifting and changing color with ease.

All instruments were performed Alex Rich and produced by Ryan Coseboom of Halou/Stripmall Architecture.This hand letter-pressed CD is a appetizer of what is to come with his debut full-length album, due in spring 2010.
