toechter, the trio of Katrine Grarup Elbo, Lisa Marie Vogel and Marie-Claire Schlameus, release their second album today. »Epic Wonder« blends elegant string arrangements with ethereal indie pop and delicate rhythms. On this record the three musicians exclusively used analogue sound sources (such as violin, viola, cello, and their voices), which were then electronically processed.
»Epic Wonder« is out now on LP/CD and available through all digital platforms.

Robert Lippok reissues »Open Close Open«
The three loop-based pieces on »Open Close Open« (released in 2001) and their distinct mix of field recordings, cultural fragments, and samples—maybe most notably Gustav Mahler's famous Adagietto—soon became a classic within the electronica community. For this remastered vinyl reissue, Lippok revisited the original source material and produced a new track called »Licht.«
The EP, which is due for release in March on clear vinyl that glows in the dark, is now available for pre-order. The track »Licht« is streaming as of today.

Vinyl repress: Benjamin Gibbard & Andrew Kenny's »Home EP«
Originally released in 2003 on CD via Post-Parlo Records, and two years later on vinyl via Morr Music, the »Home EP« sees Benjamin Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service) and Andrew Kenny (The American Analog Set) each contributing three original tracks and playing one of the other's songs. The 2023 repress can now be ordered from anost.net. In the US it is available via Barsuk Records.

ISAN’s Robin Saville returns with his fourth solo LP.
On »Lore«, the British musician takes his love for field recordings, whirring pads, hovering bells and subtle electronics further, adding extra depth to both his sonic palette and his storytelling. »Lore« is dominated by both open-hearted melancholy and more upbeat rhythms. But even when the music sounds quirky and loose, there is always deeper meaning. The album is characterised by an ever present melancholy about the threatening loss of living spaces, and a celebration of their beauty. This simultaneity turns the tracks into existential meditations about our human habitat.
