An Imaginary Country becomes the continuation of the best works of the Canadian musician - his specialty sounding and the feeling of complete absorption by the sound are still present. I wouldn't say that the new record stroke me, I would call it one more album by Tim Hecker, without any pretensions to novelty or discovery. But, damn it, in the skill of animation of his creativity this person will beat down hands of any young musician. Pleasant to feel the supply of soul energy with which this music was created, how much emotions it gives, which pictures it paints before your eyes. Each track turns into view with great perspective and erased foreground. That's difficult to point out any concrete elements in the tangle of atmosphere sounds - all colors spread somewhere far away, at the horizon leaving only their indistinct outlines. It seems that here the strings ring, here plays something like a piano... Attractive invitation into the country of indistinct forms and erased contours.
