Pavilosta is a small Latvian town in the Baltic. Maybe this town wouldn't become well-known in other countries of the world but for the sympathy of the ambient-microwave duet Oloolo. Experimental musicians from Riga Kriipis Tulo and Rodion Zolotarev took part in Venetian architectural exhibition Next in autumn of 2002. Those days Latvia presented its project of a new national library. While recording of audio-installation for the project a great amount of the material was left out and wasn't used in the final version of the sound backing for the project. Nevertheless Oloolo decided to present this musical material to the wide auditorium of listeners. As a result, we have the album Pavilosta compiled already in 2003 and finally edited by Lagunamuch Community.This album includes various recollections of the calm and beautiful town so musch beloved by the duet. Memories, reflected in the slowly glitch-ambient sound, create the image of a sunny day and peacefully winging sea waves, sometimes they take us away into the cold of night with cicadas' fuss and stars staring at us attentively.
Analogue and digital technologies fancifuly lead us to the world of coastal line. Tracks seem to be the fragments with no start and ending. Bright and original splashes of the pleasant nostalgia.
