Bitter Sweet is the newest work of Japanese multimedia artist Sawako. Taking into consideration her prior creative work, we may say that this album is more deep and 'weighty' - she gives preference to low and midrange buzz deluted in doses by the artist's field records, violoncello (Jacob Kirkegaard) and guitar (Radiosonde).
This album gives the opportunity to fly high over the smoke-filled megalopolis or examine our inner world with dense tissues of our consciousnes without any structure, we may deepen into the stream of bright dreamings or light day-dream.
Amorphous, abstract canvas of mainly buzzing sounds may have different effects depending on the listener's mood at the moment of listening. Personally I think that the resonances of midranges are too obtrusive and heavy, but other people can easily disagree with me and call this album an extremely airy and light one. Everything depends on our tastes in music.
In any case, we must admit that label 12k headed by Taylor Dupree keeps making happy all the listeners of electronic music by first-class ambient sound.
