CDr with Still Second from the far for us Canada belongs to musician Marc-Antoine - Whales. This mini-release has limitation of 40 copies, such records are often spread during concerts by musicians or their representatives. Three long-lasting tracks are exactly like a small concert of electroacoustic avant-garde. Noise, reverberation, narrowing and widening of space met in the first part of Still Second are changed by the long-lasting and killing improvisation with live drums. Absolutely overfree style of playing and very bad quality of record - it all smacks not just "underground" but the deepest imaginable musical underground, with humid air and the smell of wet dust. I'd be happy to hear such in some very small club, I think... No, I'm absolutely sure. With my hands round a pint of beer and open mind.
To my mind, the disc finishes a little bit more interesting - with the composition of electronic noises and squeaking dirty abstractions of distorted guitar. Guitar? Guitar. Maybe guitar. Doesn't matter - it stops being important. With the ending of the track disc almost loses its value...
