The third release from series Whiteline by the young German label Aentitainment is a collection of five tracks by musicians from almost all over the world. In this compilation such names became notable: Igorrr, Mobthrow, Larvae, Ebola and some absolutely unknown to me project under the title Hello.jpg. The record is obviously strongly attached to dubstep so omnipresent nowadays with a touch of breakcore and drum'n'bass. In general project's sounding is rather recognizable. Igorr again represents for us an odd mixture of everything with everything as it was in the previous album Moissisure. Rhythms broken off to pieces, samples of piano, growl and some opera pieces, it all waits for us in some track with title "Melting Nails". Though it will be rather short, a little bit more longer than 2 minutes, so that you don't have time to understand when this merry folly finished. The second is the well-known for us Mobthrow resident and founder of the Greek label Spectraliquid. His "Bad Boya" shifts the stress of the album's sounding to the side of dubstep, but with breakbeat element characteristic of Mobthrow. Heavy grime bass adds even more drive to this powerful track. To my mind, it's the best thing in this album. Further along the list is Ebola, by the way, it was also released on Spectraliquid in the same series of EPs Mutant Dubstep as Mobthrow. In general in track "Shift" I didn't hear anything especially interesting for me, ordinary dubstep, a little bit acid, though in whole nothing remarkable. The forth position is taken by the American Matthew Jeanes (Larvae). That's not so easy to label it as all music in general. It's various and doesn't fit to any definite stylistic frames, maybe that is why he took the fancy of the Germans from Ad Noiseam as he has released there three albums. In the end we are proposed to listen to a thing with provocative title "Transsexual" by Hello.jpg. As it's written in compilation's press-release the record with this track was found under the door and that's why there is no information about the artist. Hope that in the course of time we'll learn more about this musician. "Transsexual" is a very cheerful and energetic drum'n'bass in perfect traditional style with a little bit muddy bass line more characteristic for dubstep. By the way up to the end this track decreases its turns and comes to light jungle mixture, on the background of which one can hear different swearwords about transsexuals. Well, what can I say? This debut is really worth attention.
I think Whiteline Vol.III must be interesting for all fans of the projects present in this compilation, all the more here are the exclusive tracks, you won't meet them anywhere else.
