Impulsive Art is a very young recording company from Greece. Thesis Vol.I is their second release, but the names presented in it are rather well-known, though there were also the beginners. Listening to this compilation track by track, it gets absolutely clear for you which direction the label has chosen for its further musical work. Apparently the popularity of Hymen Records, Tympanik Audio and Ad Noiseam didn't give a rest to the heads of Impulsive Art. Keef Baker, Mad EP, Tapage, Larvae - we've already met these people in the firms mentioned above. That's why I think everything is already clear with the sounding. Such a mixture of postindustrial, experimental electronics and idm. Though on this background track by Nole Plastique (Roman Kutnov) with its hippie mood seems to be a maverick. By the way, besides Nole Plastique on this record there are also the other Slavic names - IP Neva (Ivan Petrov) presenting on this label his debut album Symbiosis Of Constradictions and Andrey Kiritchenko who doesn't need introducing, I think. On the one hand, it makes us glad, our countrymen are more frequently mentioned in the West, but on the other hand it's bad that there is no place for them in the native land.To speak in general, the compilation is not bad, of course, similarity with other labels embarrasses a little bit, but it's only the second release, hope in the course of time Impulsive Art will find its unique direction and will pleasantly surprise us with the names like IP Neva and Absrtactive Noise.
