For a long time I didn't get more kind music than this release Mad Therapist - Alien Element on Byelorussian conglomerate Machinist records. It was released in a very special way – 14 kind, one can say even positive tracks packed into the cover of industrial style made personally by vAlien – design is wonderful but obviously not matching to such music. Though one can easily suppose that it's a special move of people releasing this project.
Listening to the very first sounds of the first track "Alien Element" I started to smile, listening further I understood clearly why vAlien is engaged in preparation and propagating this project. In album Alien Element all starts with the kindest, a little bit childish and naive old school electro, most probably programmed with love in some program such Fruity Loops, sincere keyboards, fully synthetical music and simple melody - that is actually the basis of project Mad Therapist, the title of which leads to the thoughts about a Mad Therapist making at night his fantastic experiments in some American clinic, though it strikingly doesn't correspond to its content. The second composition "Surpass The Stars" in a moment sends you to the music of 80s, music of fantastic films. Don't think that the times of German electro a la Kraftwerk finished, not at all, this music will live forever, and you should just use new batteries which unfortunately aren't in the complete set with the release.
We proceed. "No Time To Discuss" – wonderful title, here appear already the toy scaring dark pretrance synths, though they can't frighten, most likely their mission is just the slight change of the album's mood to make it closer to the night darkness of space hiding and holding in it the unknown secret bases of Aliens spread through the whole galaxy... Listening to this release for many times, I constantly thought how such tracks as "RoboTalk", "Locked Cell", "Currently Unabashed" would sound with usage of the true metal analogue synthesizers, drum machines and live drums? What about the production and sound of all material if we upgrade the root acid filling of the whole Alien Element? What could be in the result if this musician is led to the studio full of various equipment and instruments and in the role of sound help to invite Afrika Bambaataa or Klaus Schulze? Would the further trance dance tracks be less trance and less synthetic? Would this music get another filling, would the musician come closer to realization of all his dreams not losing his sincerity, naivety, humaneness and kindness? Those were my thoughts when I deepened into further detached listening to this release. In fact, I want to wish the musician good luck in creative work and to proceed developing already started themes not forgetting about experiments. Without it all can comes down to extremely hard sound service inapplicable for the inner habitat.
