Israeli musician Ran Slavin & Portuguese label Crónica had prepared very graceful for its musical structure release under the title The Wayward Regional Transmissions. Middle East's culture represented by the musical instruments of this area's countries, appears here together with uneven glitch arrangement & effects. Such kind of sound of this warm audio cocktail can be described as a mixture of digital post music (that had survived from all conceivable revolutions in spheres of musical equipment) with the original extremely conservative East culture.Ahuva Ozeri took part in the process of recording. Her Indian stringed instrument with really hard for pronouncing title 'BulbulTarang' sounds in the 1, 2, 6 & 8th tracks. There is no doubt, it is one of the album’s key moments that marks the conception & mood. In the first track "Village" we are blown on with hot & dry wind of BulbulTarang's sound, which is skipped through Ran Slavin's breaking algorithms. Rustles, squeaks & digital scratches make a perfect texture to audio product, obtained from running musician’s fingers over three strings & field recordings, which fill everything with an unstatic, viscous substance. Sometimes destructive component leads music's turning into the pattern of aesthetic digital minimalism like in the long-lasting "Jericho 6AM". But such kind of approach doesn’t reduce the presence of spirituality & mood in The Wayward Regional Transmissions album, which can be advised to the fans of abstract experimental electronics without definite structure & distinctness of the things that are going on.
