The second solo album by the young Pole Tomasz Bednarczyk attracted my attention right after the release. It was very interesting what he should record after the thoughtful, melancholical Summer Feelings which I liked very much. The mood of music didn't change, though much of the emotional filling disappeared. Maybe the reason is that in the second album there is less of the expressive piano, more electronics, field records, various rough textures and drones - less emotions, more design. I doubt that it's a tendency, maybe transformation characteristic of electronic music in general... By all appearances, computer programs thoroughly integrated into the musician's creative work, though in his hands it's rather a musical instrument, than the instrument of design. Listening to Painting Sky Together you'll deepen into the sounds and your associations rather than into dreams and memories, you will rather listen than feel.Painting Sky Together can be called a good, pleasant album by the interesting musician. It doesn't strike or surprise, though it leaves only pleasant impressions.
