The untitled album of German musician Thomas Bücker, whom I didn’t know earlier, can be considered an interesting discovery of intelligent music’s world 2008. While the CD with a frightened girl depicted on it was making its way to Russia, I read some comments. Somebody says that Bersarin Quartett sounds like a soundtrack for some serious, emotional film. If it’s so, I’d gladly watch this film with my eyes shut. Music in this album is full of emotions - for most people who are able to hear and listen attentively, it can say more than a video pictures of some abstract film. Though this feature is characteristic for all music in general - there is less specifics, the highest percent of information is perceived by a person visually. As concerns sound, there is more freedom for associations, you are able to think up what is missing and complete the images created by the musician. Album Bersarin Quartett is really live music thanks to the composer’s talent and numerous sounds of real, vivid nature.
Very expressive, pervasive strings play the leading part, in some places they are supplemented by melancholical piano and trumpet... Electronic effects and downtempo drums add colors and diversity - it seems that the author found the balance between electronics and academic instruments. If music of Bersarin Quartett reaches its listener while he is under the plaid of warm sadness, in prison of thoughts about the eternal things - that will be the very moment and the very place in our universe needed, with the ideal system ‘person-music’ and with 100% of perceiving.
